Biogas facilities, which are based on the conversion of methane gas produced by the decay of organic agricultural and animal waste in an oxygen-free environment into electricity and heat energy, prevent the release of greenhouse gases originating from such wastes into the atmosphere under normal conditions.
While converting waste into organic fertilizer creates added value, it also reduces the pollution and external dependency of the national electricity grid, which operates heavily on fossil fuels.
Biogas is an environmentally friendly energy source. Therefore, the use of biogas originating from organic matter is becoming increasingly important in preventing environmental pollution. Since the raw materials used for biogas production are grown on agricultural lands, it can provide significant advantages in areas such as greenhouse and residential heating and tractor fuel in agricultural enterprises. This use can significantly reduce biogas operating costs.
